Hi! My name is Cailey Booze.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm a recent graduate from the University of North Texas (Class of ’26), and I am currently designing products for traffic device systems as a UX Design Intern at Applied Concepts, Inc. (aka Stalker Radar).

I’ve loved creating things for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always creating, making, rearranging, or finding some way to turn an idea in my head into something real. That curiosity is still a big part of who I am, and it’s what eventually led me to UX design.

Outside of design, I love traveling, exploring new places, trying new things, exercising, and finding a good matcha latte or almond croissant. I also have a weenie dog named Paisley, who keeps life extra sweet. And yes — if you were wondering, I do make origami (ever since I was 8 years old!!).

My Design Philosophy

My design philosophy centers on understanding first. I begin by learning the situation or problem, then move into ideation and exploration. From there, I create solutions while staying open to feedback, using iteration as a key part of refining and strengthening the work.

I work best in collaborative environments where ideas are shared openly and different perspectives are valued. I believe growth happens through collaboration, and that shared perspectives are one of the most meaningful ways to learn from others and create stronger work together!

The Paper Crane

The paper crane has always felt meaningful to me because it represents intention, longevity, and peace. Those are qualities I try to bring into my everyday life and into the way I design: creating with care, being thoughtful with the details, and turning something complex into something that feels a little more clear, calm, and meaningful.
